At Kidlington running club we have regular training runs across the week, and support these with coaching sessions throughout the year.
We change our runs according to the season, with Summer runs including more canal and trail runs, and as the winter comes in we resort to more road running under the street lights.
As a guide, new runners should be able to run 30 minutes without stopping. If you’d like some help achieving this the BBC do a very good “Couch to 5k” program/app. A suitable running background would come either from active sport at school or being able to complete a park run (speed immaterial).
Weekly Running Sessions
Mondays – 6.30pm – Stratfield Brake. A shorter group run of around 3-5 miles. Improvers welcome! https://www.devonhealthandwellbeing.org.uk/buy-ambien-zolpidem-uk/. We aim to run together as a group; those who wish to run faster can do so and loop back.
To attend these training sessions we ask that you can run for c.30 minutes without stopping. If you need help with this please get in touch and we’d be happy to advise on training plans.
Tuesdays 6:30pm – Stratfield Brake – Group run. A 7/8 mile group run, with regular turn-back points for those wanting a shorter run.
Thursdays 6:30pm – Stratfield Brake – Speed and technique training session (contact us before coming to this as occaionally we run it from alternative venues – Blenheim Palace, or Iffley Race Track)
Sundays 9am – Stratfield Brake – Long Runs during the build up to the Marathon Season, and “Guest Runs” during the summer to explore the best routes Oxfordshire has to offer in a “Come Run With Me” format (these runs only occur on weekends when there are no club competitions).
If you want to join us for any of these sessions then please do come along, or contact us using the form below.
Please note that you must be aged 16 or over to participate in our training nights. But please note, that under 18’s must have a Parental Consent Form signed before they will be permitted to run with us and, for their first session, be brought and collected by a parent or guardian.
