The wonderful members of Kidlington Running club are getting together this Sunday on a day that for most runners is the culmination of at least 20 weeks of training, for what I think is the single best sports event open to anyone in the world – The VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON!

As you’ll all know by now, this year’s VLM has been postponed due to Coronavirus and in it’s place to help some of the charities that rely on the massive fundraising efforts of runners – they have launched the 2.6 Challenge

Last year the VLM raised £66.4 million, and so far they’ve already raised over £2.5 million.

KRAC Runners…We Need You…

As a running club we’ve pledged £100 towards their fundraising but we’d like all you wonderful KRAC runners to let us know what you’ve done in tribute to the 2.6 challenge (no pressure!) just stick what you’ve done on Facebook or What’s app (or email it to the committee) so we can all see what you’ve been up to!

Here’s an example (nb. sadly Jonny Wilkinson isn’t a KRAC-ite!)

Iain Wakefield, our wonderful chair is getting involved with his daughter’s (Annie) challenge to beat her 5K PB is 27 minutes  – aiming to run under 26mins 20 seconds for a 5k tomorrow morning.

2.6 Challenge! – Let’s get KRAC-ing
